But fret now: While I_Love_Deviant is never updated, The Treehouse stays bumping so these random updates will stay flowing!!

On the release front, above is a picture of my latest solo 7", Someday/Waiting ft. Theory Derived, taken from my 2007 LP, Social Commentary.
Where can you buy, you ponder? You can't. It sold out in a month. I too am shocked.
I'll be sure to upload audio so you can enjoy on your mp3 blaster of choice.

In other music news, I just turned in the retouch of my Mihara remix. Not much different on the musical side, but added verses from Arrowax (Seven Star & Omniscient) and cuts from my man Dj Blanko out of Bogota.
I've also been twiddling with some beats for the first Arrowax LP. Arrowax also has some new Deviant tracks they are fighting over for either their second LP or individual solo projects, though I'll probably jack the instrumental for a MDB outtake.

And finally, in the forthcoming news, I can confirm that my full length EP (an oxymoron) will be finished this year. Million Dollar Bombs should be done for release sometime in 2009, hopefully earlier than later. The MDB sounds really developed last October, when half the project began. From dropping the beats and performing live in Colombia and Japan, the sound developed a bit more, and Million Dollar Bombs shall prove to be a reaction to my Social Commentary era.

No really, I will upload audio of SOMETHING this month, cross your heart and hope to go crate digging.

I asked that this video not be put on youtube, but the jerks that took it put it up anyway. I love playing piano, and I love playing this song. The piano in that hotel was in desperate need of a tune-up and I just didn't give the song the sheen it deserves. One day (meaning within the next 10yrs), I will re-record a NON-bootleg version and put it up for the people.

Since I rarely update ilovedeviant (cause i'm too busy being loved), I offer this picture and some Deviant words.

Medellin was the ish. I found my passport only hours before my flight left, and thank goodness I did!! The live show, my first ever, was dope and I got a lot of great feedback that seemed in earnest. The DJ set the next night was dopppppeeeeeeee. I got to spin broken beat in Colombia (beat that Daz & Benji!)!!!! Then I switched it up with that hip hop goodness, and as the kiddies say, it was on and poppin'. I met a lot of people, and even went back to a studio and put in work into the wee-hours before I was out early Sunday morning.

I've been re-energized on the music tip. The official word on the streets (Of Miami, Cusco, Buenos Aires, Medellin, and Tokyo.....and Minnesota) is that dvizzle is back on active duty.

Maybe I'll even upload some new tunes to ilovedeviant & the_space!! Before 2010 even!!

maannnnnnnn, does this take me back!
These boys are doing it. A great combination of corp-style and the style of HBCUs. I will admit, not as clean and in unison as I'd like it, but they are young and having fun, and it works.

Probably one of the top 5 reasons I want to have children is to direct their drum line (yes, I will let them make their own decisions and yada yada). Most likely just to relive my teenage dreams of yester-year, and force my seedlings to achieve what I never did, but I admit it up front!

These young girls and boys are the truth, and they are executing things quite well. I'm in full-on fanboy mode.

Smoothy de Roboter came through the world-renowned Treehouse last night. He came bearing Torq. Accordingly, I held the first Dvizzle/School of Communications live shoutcast.

Back in the day (all the way back to 2003), we would have random shoutcast sessions. These were dope because we were just doing what we loved, Djing, messing with beats, an overall modern musical lifestyle.

These sporadic shout casts were also the informal version of my five-year long, award winning college radio show: Preshapoints. One of these days I'll do a throwback Preshapoints post, I've got tons of mixes from 2000-2005 of Miami's drum 'n bass DJs.

Though I love vinyl and will always continue collecting dope records wherever I travel, this new-fangled technology is killer. I've carried crates since 1999, fam. Now I just carry a laptop and I'm good? And I've got digital-crates for daze?
I'll probably abandon Torq and run with Serato, since Smoothy already pwns the Torq mixes.

Whenever we (smoothizzle/dvizzle) get the sporadic shout casts and podcasts on a regular schedule, we'll let you know.

so apparently when i was saying this 12" was on it's way to shops, it was already in shops selling off shelves. Once again, the Japanese & German kids are feeling me.
